Position Details:
Position Summary: The Cox Media Manager of Finance will be responsible for financial reporting & analysis, performance measurement, and trend analysis for the CMI Las Vegas business. Reviews and provides feedback on corporate built budgets & forecasts. The position will also work closely and support the VP Cox Media to provide financial reporting and analysis needs.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks – Essential Functions
- Responsible for financial support, financial reporting, trend analysis and contract audits for CMI Las Vegas.
- Review and analyze corporate built budget and forecasts and provide feed back to local and corporate leadership on risks and opportunities in proposed plan.
- Supports the VP Cox Media and CMI leadership on sales performance measures, budget variance analysis, ROI analysis on potential sales, and relevant performance measures (customer, financial, internal process and employee).
- Monitors and assists with CMI capital spending requirements, including interfacing with residential CapEx team on all new projects and developing projected CapEx spending.
- Develops action plans with appropriate functional owners to respond to negative financial trends or to leverage opportunities.
- Reviews monthly financial results and prepares monthly reports for corporate and local leaders, including monthly reviews with Director of Finance and VP Cox Media related to performance.
- Reviews and approves all significant billing adjustments.
- Tracks Business Development Consultant accounts.
- Leads and develops direct reports to continually improve processes and meet financial and operational goals.

Confidential and Sensitive Information:
This position will have complete exposure to financial and market performance information of Cox Communications, Cox Business Services and Hospitality Network.

Financial Accountability:
Protects the confidentiality of all financial information. Access to system information is unlimited and will be strictly held in confidence.

Environment/Working Conditions:
All work is performed in a climate-controlled environment. Most work will be done in a designated office; however walking throughout the building will be required. Additional requirements include, sitting for extended periods of time working on a computer.

Physical Qualifications:
Physical Efforts: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit. Must possess the physical ability to use repetitive motions of the wrist, and/or fingers; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds.
Visual Requirements: The visual requirements include; ability to adjust focus and close vision as well as the ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.

Tools And Equipment: Standard office equipment, 10-key, video display terminal, printer, personal computer.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree required (prefer Finance/Accounting)
- MBA preferred
- CPA/CMA a plus
- Minimum 7 years professional experience required
- Telecommunications and/or Cable Industry experience preferred
- Strategic thinkers with superior analytical skills and critical thinking, including the ability to identify trends within data, create reports that easily convey financial impacts, and help system reach their financial and operational goals.
- Strong leadership and development skills to continually improve performance of direct reports.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to influence people to move toward collective organizational goals, and share information in organizational-level-appropriate ways.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel including business and financial modeling.
- Ability to research and analyze data, Demonstrated proficiency with creating reporting from large volumes of raw data utilizing available applications, excel, access or other tools.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G.A.A.P)

Recommended Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus.
- Cable or Telecommunications experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle Business Suite, Oracle Discoverer, Hyperion desired
